Lok Sabha Election 2019 Phase 2: All Eyes on Tamil Nadu, Faulty EVMs Reported

Voting for 95 Lok Sabha seats has already started on April 11, 2019. Today is the second-phase of 2019 Lok Sabha Election. Tamil Nadu holds the key in the second phase.

38 seats of Tamil Nadu are up for voting in today’s polling.

Besides this, there are 14 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka, 10 in Maharashtra, 8 in Uttar Pradesh, 5 in Assam, 5 in Bihar and 5 in Odisha, 3 each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, 2 in Jammu and Kashmir and 1 seat each in Manipur and Puducherry.

PM Modi tweeted, “Dear Citizens of India, Phase 2 of the Lok Sabha polls start today. I am sure all those whose seats are polling today will strengthen our democracy by exercising their franchise. I hope more youngsters head to the polling booths and vote!”

According to Hindustan Times, 305 EVMs in Tamil Nadu have been changed so far during the second phase of the Lok Sabha Elections.
