Paris’ Notre Dame Cathedral Gutted in Blaze; We will Rebuild, Says Macron

Notre Dame de Paris is a Parisian pride which has been built over 850 years ago. Around 400 firefighters worked hard through the night to control the massive fire that devastated the Cathedral in Paris.

The Cathedral that survived two world wars, commune and revolution didn’t survive the fire destruction that started on April 15, 2019. The two-third of the building including the famous spire were destroyed in fire.

An emotional French President Emmanuel Macron vowed to rebuild the Notre Dame Cathedral, as firefighters worked hard to bring the fire under control, with the main structure preserved.

Parisians gathered together to sing Ave Maria to mourn over this irreparable loss.

How it happened?

The fire started in the attic of the Cathedral at around 18:50 local time in Paris. Then people started to share images and videos, which went viral within minutes. The cause is still unknown.
